How it Works
- A team of up to five Beef Ambassadors will be selected.
- Beef Ambassadors will be representing Minnesota Beef farmers and ranchers.
- This is a one-year program, running from June through June.
- During their year of service to the MN CattleWomen, the Beef Ambassador team will travel throughout the state to promote the beef industry through educational programs, presentations, special events and social media.
- Ambassadors will be reimbursed for event registrations and hotels upon pre-approval of the program director.
- Scholarship opportunities for successful term completion:
- Achievement Winner will receive a $750 Scholarship and a Custom Belt Buckle
- Runner-up will receive a $500 Scholarship
- Other team member(s) who have successfully completed their term will receive up to $200
- The Achievement Winner (Top Scorer) will serve as a peer mentor to the newly chosen ambassadors.
Application Process
- Applicant must submit completed application materials by June 4, 2026 through the online form below.
- Applications will be reviewed, and notices sent by June 8, 2026.
Applicant Eligibility
- Applicant must be entering grade 9 - 12 in the year they compete.
- Applicant must provide their own transportation. Reimbursement for travel expenses (mileage and hotel) will be provided for all pre-approved events.
- Applicant must communicate effectively through email, text messaging and in-person in a timely manner.
- Applicant must have a passion for beef.
Expectations
- Participate as much as you are able. You will get more out of your experience the more you participate.
- Respond in a timely manner. There will be requests for your presence and participation please respond to those in a timely manner.
- Interact with consumers, your coach, staff and fellow ambassadors.
Competition
Competition will be held June 19th, 2026 @ 9:00 AM at the Gorecki Center at the College of Saint Benedict, 37 College Ave S, St Joseph, MN 56374. It will be held in conjunction with the Minnesota State CattleWomen Summer Educatonal Event and Awards Banquet. Winners will be announced at the awards banquet during lunch, June 19th.
There will be an option to compete virtually via Zoom if the applicant is unable to attend in person.

Applications will open May 1, 2026 and remain open until Midnight June 4th. Top Candidates will advance to competition at the MN CattleWomens Summer Meeting Friday, June 19, 2026 at the Gorecki Center at the College of Saint Benedict, 37 College Ave S, St Joseph, MN 56374
All candidates will be notified by June 8th if they will be advancing. Candidates that advance will be assigned a Social Media Response to a Beef Industry topic which will be due on the Monday of the competition (June 15th)
The competition will include a 5-7 minute presentation and an interview by a panel of judges. Contestants may compete via ZOOM.
Term will run June - June.
